Once you know who wrote the bible, when and why, all the mystery is taken away and it can be seen for what it really is.
Once that is done, then these questions become pointless.
another highlight from the book of numbers that hasn't been commended thoroughly by the watchtower but nevertheless interesting .upon compelition of the tent of the meeting, jehovah's voice appears to be sounding from the cover of the ark of the covenant ,in previous occasions moses had to travel to the tip of the mountain sinai to converse with jehovah but now things have changed ,the article offers a few highlights on why that was the case and in which manner jehovah spoke to moses on that particular occasion .maybe you can use it on next week's highlights.... p.s :if anyone has anymore comments about this passage please let me know and i will add them on this post.. what voice spoke to moses in the tent of meeting according to numbers 7:89 ?.

in this week's bible highlights we read about the bizarre trial by ordeal that a woman had to undergo if she was under suspicion of adultery .in number 5:24 we read about this strange "bitter water" that she had to drink resulting if guildy to a sponteneous degeneration of her reproductive organs ,please read the rest of the article here for more clarification ,maybe you can use it this week during the bible highlights at the meeting.... what is the bitter water that a woman had to drink in numbers 5:24?.
It was and still is a cult! Then xianity was another one.
so i was watching shark week a little while ago and i got to the episode on prehistoric sharks.
they, of course, discussed megalodon, but they also talked about other sharks that were vicious, precise hunters.
then i started thinking about other prehistoric creatures..... t-rex, raptors, etc...... all vicious animals.
I'm becoming increasingly convinced that religious belief kills brain cells....
my girlfriend and i took the train through to edinburgh to soak in the atmosphere and catch a few free comedy shows at the fringe festival.. almost immediately i spotted them; jw.org witnesses.. how did i know it was them?.
well, the middle-aged, tall man wearing the suit, shirt and tie was a big clue.
that and the fact that he was holding the hand of a similarly tall, middle-aged woman, dressed in the jw uniform of long skirt, blouse and light summer jacket.
It's a cult. what more is there to say.
due to the recent postings about the #3 edit ranking for the jw wikipedia page, (.

Seems reasonably likely it's Jeffro to me.
I'm nowhere near you Sam.
last month, my best friend of four years and boyfriend of six months came home from a jehovah's witness convention.
he'd been acting strangely the entire weekend and i knew something was wrong.
i initiated a discussion and he said, "essentially our relationship is wrong and i'm not supposed to be with you.
Please at the very least make sure you dont get sucked into the cult yourself in a desperate measure to be with him. Run, run away.
i've been browsing the site for some time as things that the society teach just are not adding up much these days.
by exploring some of the threads on here i'm starting to see why.
a brief bio.
Welcome, give yourself the right to ask questions, .. any question, none should be off limits to you, then you will find out the reality like many here have done.
You were born into and raised in a cult. I was too.
i thought it was high time to introduce myself (without my name of course).
as my name would suggest i have been reading your intriguing post, thoughts and discussions for some time now.
around 3/4 months to be exact.. i guess to start with it would seem fitting to give a little background on my current situation.. i'm a born-in, but have over the last few years found that through a number of varying occurences, (some of which i may discuss in future posts) that my 'zeal' has gone from regular field service and meetings to no service in over a year and very sporadic meeting attendance.
Excellent, keep reading, keep searching and keep questioning.
Better to have questions you can't answer than answers you can't question. Cant remember who said that one sorry....

You saw the cult personality come to the surface, this is the danger in relationships with cult members or ex cult members who have not fully deprogrammed and still believe in it or are susceptible to be reactivated.
Finish the relationship and move on would be the kindest advice to give you.
